Description
Kelebek, Papillon in Turkish, is a work by Maël Fauvy for Flute, Clarinet in Bb, Guitar (plectrum ad lib.) and Double Bass inspired by the traditional Turkish music of the Aşıks bards.
The work sculpts a haunting and seductive melody using many asymmetrical measures and piquant harmonizations. It gives pride of place to improvisation by proposing a flute cadence for ad lib improvisation.
The Double Bass can be replaced by a Cello, the arrangement of which is proposed as a separate part.
